News Day!

October 28th, 1998

Sorry for no picture today mon, but we have a few announcements that need to be mentioned. First, in order for our viewers to get a balanced image of the happenings in Jamaica, we would like to let you know of another Jamaican newspaper to provide news on the internet. In addition to Jamaica's oldest newspaper being on the net (the Daily Gleaner), Beingee's wants to extend a Big Up to the Jamaica Observer (located at www.jamaicaobserver.com). This should help to add insight to the stories that are making the news in Jamaica. Click here to take a look at the Observer (be sure to let them know that you found them on Beingee's Internet Negril - thanks). Second, the Shows & Events listing has been updated, so please take a peak to find out where the NEN (Negril Entertainment Network) will be broadcasting. These will be highlighted as NEN Events. Yah mon! Third and finally, the Thirsty Thursday Pub Crawls are starting to pick up as the peak season approaches. Look for the Crawls to start at Jamaican Price Restaurant and Bar - located between the Negril Yacht Club and Mi Yard. Beginning around 6:30pm, the Crawl will party at the "Price" until about 9:30pm and then "crawl" on to another Negril bar and/or restaurant every Thursday night - details on where the crawl will be posted on the Shows & Events listing as well as on the Negril Message Board (found off the Main Menu - link is above and below) with directions on how to join the online fun (watch, listen and chat) on the NEN (Negril Entertainment Network)!

At 8:00pm - an cool, overcast morning. The temperature is 80° F, 27° C.
