This center has opened! We've only started a few weeks ago and the history section has been a rather low priority...that's changed! We are now taking this seriously and getting some of these stories on the internet for the entire world to share. It's about time, don't you think? We are adding a new item to the History Center. It was featured in Negril Today on the 13th of January, 1996. It is the symbol of the West End, the historic Lighthouse. It joins the legend of Three-Fingered Jack Mansong. In the future, we will be bringing you more of the past. Great Jamaican legends, the White Witch, duppies, fashionable pirates, female pirates, the Arawaks and independence. By the way, if anyone out there has ORIGINAL work on the history of Jamaica, please submit it. We'll give you credit and even set up a Be-mail for you. | |||||
