...my 5 year old daughter and I had a great time (been to Negril 8 times now), she on her first trip had a wonderous time; discovered crabs, fish, fishermen, the beautiful people of Negril; Found new friends, explored Negril's schools, and played all day on the beach while eating fresh bananna's, oranges, and all the other great stuff. My wife felt complely at ease taking our daughter out for shopping excursions and long walks up and down cliff road and the beaches. People need to know that there is a whole other world outside the resort. PLEASE I BEG OF YOU do not spend thousands of dollars going to Jamaica and never even leave the resort or the tour bus, get out and meet the pleasant people of Negril. They are there to bring you pleasure and make sure you have a good time, take them up on it. You won't regret it.
