Afternoon - Near Town Centre

Joe was strolling along the West End Road as it makes the first turn heading south from the centre of Negril when he noticed a great picture opportunity! Joe grabbed the digital camera and took a great picture right in front of the Cotton Tree Hotel. This is a spot where the cliffs really haven't started yet, where the road has been following along the South Negril River, before you arrive at the Post Office, Hi Lo Supermarket or NCB (the bank). There is no real sand in this area, nor is it a cliff location - it is a place on the West End where the cliffs are just beginning to reveal themselves, where you can look back at the full stretch of Long Bay, which is the real name for the bay that defines Negril's seven mile white sand shore.
