Election Day 2002 - Negril.Com Style

The 16th of October was General Election Day 2002 - and although tropical depression #14 (not officially a named storm) is passing our Caribbean island, that did not stop the Jamaican voters from exercising their franchise. The People's National Party won an unprecedented 4th majority of seats in Parliament giving party leader the Right Honorable P.J. Patterson his 4th consecutive term as Jamaica's Prime Minister. The Beingee's Negril.Com "official" Election Day 2002 corespondents in today's Negril Today picture were brought in from England and the USA and are captured doing some very intense election calculations to try and predict the winners. Or they might be trying to decide if another Red Stripe would be necessary to go with the bammy and steamed fish at the weekly Board Meeting Daze gathering at Fun Holiday. Any which way you look at it - it was a very mellow day in Negril, Election Day or not.
