Reggae Marathon Winners!

This past Saturday the 8th, the first of what hopefully will become an annual event took place in Negril! The Jamdammers, the Kingston running club decided to hold an event like none other Negril has seen! An official Marathon course was tracked out and runners from all over the world took place! It was such a competitive race that there was less than 30 seconds seperating the men's first and second place finishers! Today's Negril Today page, taken by Renee, features the female first place runner from Russia, Ms. Ramilia Burangulova with a time of 2:42 and the men's champion, Pamenos Ballantyne from St. Vincent with a time of 2:21! They are proudly displaying their Bob Marley trophies that were presented by the one and only Rita Marley! Sunburst Tours helped to bring down 400 people from the Heart Association! This was a well organized event and look forward to many more in the future! A big up to the Kingston Jamdammers and to all those that made this event possible!
