Sunday Night - Lighthouse Inn 2 - Be There!

On Negril's world renown West End, Sunday night transforms the gourmet Lighthouse Restaurant into a stroll through the musical history of Jamaica! You enter the colorful, comfortable outdoor dining room and order the beverage of your choice from sparkling water to sparkling wine and catch a whiff of the wonderful Jamaican buffet including thick pumpkin soup, spicy jerk chicken and pork and some of the wickedest German potato salad this side Mannheim, Germany! After getting your fill of fabulous food, the journey through Jamaican music starts along with a one of a kind musical quiz contest with the winners receiving small items to make their stay in Negril that much more of a thrill. Since the Lighthouse has alway been known to draw a great international crowd, the quizmaster makes sure the questions are presented in the native language of the patrons, although on Sunday night I did happen to get an answer asked in Deutsch (that's "German" for our American Boardies... grin) by yelling out "Beach Boys", "Kokomo", "Mike Love and Carl Wilson", "Cocktail" and "Dragon's Bay" in that order. I won a mini bottle of Jamaica's own Appleton Gold and box of Cannabis Incense for my efforts! I still am not quite sure what the question actually was, but apparently since "Kokomo" was the tune I figured it had to be one of those answers... (grin). After the quiz contest it was time to hit the dance floor and dance the night away to tunes that we all remember fondly under the equatorial stars.
