Unusual Beach Waves
October 15th, 2002
Just as a Caribbean sunset can cleanse your soul, the Caribbean Sea can cleanse the sands! As tropical depression #14 (not officially a named storm yet) passes our island, a very unusual sight comes to Negril - breaking waves! Although these waves are not exactly what could be called "surfable", they are playing a role in the nature of things by pushing stunning soft white sands to the western most shores of Jamaica. Today's Negril Today picture takes a look north up our world renown seven mile beach with Booby Cay and Rutland Point far off in the distance.
Daily Music News: The Negril Entertainment Network next scheduled NEN Live events are set for Wednesday if the weather cooperates - with webcasts and chats at noon from Fun Holiday and sunset from 3-Dives! Jamaica's Heroes Weekend is coming up this weekend - be sure to keep checking our NEN Schedule for the latest especially the newest weekly webcast on Sunday mornings with the inspirational Overtakers at Selina's Coffee Bar and Eatery. For the most current music news, keep checking here, the Shows & Events listing and our new NEN (Negril Entertainment Network) page located in our Entertainment section! As always, you can check the Negril Message Board for more information about the live webcasts and chats! As the time for each live NEN event approaches, check for details on the Negril Message Board and the new NEN section. This will guide you through the procedure to join in the live web cast and chat in the Negril Chat Room. To make it to the Negril Message Board click on the Main Menu above or below and then look for the Negril Message Board link!
At 6:23pm - tropical depression passes... The temperature is 81° F, 27° C.
