On The Way Home
June 3rd, 2002
As the years pass and times and places change all around us, it is good to know that some things stay the same. Negril is one of those magical places that inspite of the inevitable changes that occur with time and growth somehow keeps sights and sounds of times past alive and part of the present. Today's Negril Today page shows two of Negril's four legged residents on their way home as they approach the roundabout. This scene has been repeating itself for centuries as pirates, ships, roads, water, electricity, phones, tourists, stores, hotels, planes, bars, restaurants and even the Internet have all made their way into the daily life of Negril. Negril is a place that can connect you with the past, in the present, and help you move forward into the unknown future. And as our friends in the picture above show, a lesson you can learn in Negril is that to move forward, you can do it one step at a time... (grin)
