October 25th - 31st '96 - Festival Intinerary

Every morning we gather from 11am to 1pm at Roots Bamboo on the beach to outline the days festivities. There will be opportunities to sign up for snorkeling, rollerblading, scuba, horseback and more. Every afternoon we will gather at a different bar to listen to Dead tapes, swim, and party together. Every night we will travel to a different club for music, music, music.

Friday the 25th - The first afternoon we'll get together at Ocean Edge on the cliffs for Red Stripes, rum, and free underwater breathing lessons courtesy of Dolphin Diver. Free party at night at Alfred's Ocean Palace on the Beach with the Roots Explosion Band.

Saturday the 26th - Roots Bamboo Beach Party during the day, then we head to the magical place before we see the Neville Brothers and Third World in Ocho. After the show, we cruise down the east coast to Port Antonio overnight. (Cost including concert, travel, room and some food & booze will be under $200 US)

Sunday the 27th - a lobster party on the beach in Long Bay. With stops at Reach Falls and Blue Lagoon. (All included in yesterday's trip cost). Back in Negril, we have a concert on the beach at De Buss featuring Culture!

Monday the 28th - Hang on the beach for the day at Runaways. Free party at night with the folks at Risky Business with Bobby Dread and Crystal and the Working Band.

Tuesday the 29th - Hang on the cliffs at Ocean Edge for more rum and more free underwater breathing fun, and party that night on the West End at Al-Bar Bella Donna.

Wednesday the 30th - Reef diving (for the learned) or a daytrip to the Roaring River. Free party at night at Roots Bamboo for Reggae Beach Splash '96 with Prince and the Gangsters featuring E.T. Webster and more.

Thursday the 31st. Halloween. Samhain. - A trip to the offshore island of Booby Cay with drums and body paint and all the party materials we can muster. An evening event is planned that you will not want to miss at Mariner's Inn, special guest Vince Welnick, former keyboard player for the Grateful Dead and The Tubes...

Friday November 1 - Mellow out at the Boat Bar with Luce Lucy, a boxful of her favorite tapes (and any you might choose to bring down), dance around the bonfire.
